Dr. Safi Mojidi

Dr. Safi Mojidi translates complex concepts like digital governance, cyber risk, and infrastructure resilience into practical strategies. He empowers leaders to transform disruptions into a comprehensive and enduring security strategy. As an executive “Defensive Coordinator,” Safi ensures the security of every organizational layer, effectively bridging board-level strategy with concrete technical controls. He serves as the CEO of Mojidi Movement and a “Virtual CISO” (vCISO) at TPO Group.

 

Dr. Mojidi’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity from Marymount University, an Master of Science in Information Assurance and Security, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Rhode Island.

 

Over the past decade, his versatile leadership approach has been proven in both the private sector and federal environments. Notable career highlights include his support of Slack and Salesforce during their $27.7 billion acquisition and his leadership of a $24 million NASA security program. Dr. Mojidi has also led cybersecurity risk management in the K12 education sector, successfully managing a team of risk professionals.

 

His foundation was established during his tenure as the Vandenberg Air Force Base Information Security Manager where he provided expert advice on over 250 critical space systems. Today, he continues to enhance his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University, where he teaches Corporate Cybersecurity, Network Security, and Cloud Security. Dr. Mojidi collaborates with special teams to ensure that organizations remain vigilant and proactive in addressing emerging threats.

 

His exceptional ability to perform under pressure was honed in state and local government. There, he spearheaded ransomware recovery activities by taking decisive action rebuilding incident response capabilities from the ground up. In the healthcare sector, through automation enables organizations to unlock revenue by achieving SOC-2 compliance, allowing them to focus on their next significant achievement.

 

Safi’s accolades include speaking engagements at the White House and multiple NASA honors for his contributions to Extravehicular Activities, which enhanced spacewalk safety and supported the COVID-19 response. He actively participates on the ISC2 Global DEI Advisory Board and founded the non-profit Hacking the Workforce. As a retired professional football player and former Nigerian National Basketball Team starter, he infuses every team he leads with Olympic-level discipline and the indomitable spirit of the Bullis School Hall of Fame.
